The cannons you hear in the song were mixed with exploding fireworks makeing the distinguished sound. The music video for this song is a live performance from Detroit in 1983. The song was later releashed on the Who Made Who album as a soundtrack to the film Maximum Overdrive. The song is based off an acient roman salute used by gladiators, "We who are about to die salute you."
